About the Online Academy

LPOSD Online Academy provides students in grades 7–12 with a flexible alternative to traditional in-person schooling. Students can complete coursework from home or another learning environment while staying connected to LPOSD teachers for guidance and academic support.

The program combines the independence of online learning with the support of local educators, giving students an opportunity to pursue their education in a way that accommodates their individual needs and schedules.

Whether balancing academics with extracurricular commitments, managing unique scheduling needs, or simply seeking an alternative learning environment, families can explore whether online learning is right for their student.

Enrollment & Registration

Ready to get started? Follow the steps below to connect with our team and begin the enrollment process.

Step 1 - Contact the Online Academy

Before beginning the enrollment process, please email amanda.heilman@lposd.org with your name, your student's name, and a phone number where you can be reached.

Our team will help you understand the program and guide you through the appropriate enrollment process.

Live outside LPOSD boundaries? You'll also need to complete the 2026-27 Open Enrollment Application. Approval is required for students residing outside the district.

Step 2 - Complete Enrollment or Registration

Select the process that applies to your student.

New Student Enrollment: If your student has never attended an LPOSD school, follow the New Student Enrollment process, beginning with the online pre-registration form.

Important: When completing pre-registration, select Clark Fork Jr/Sr High School under Zoned School for Next Year, as this is the school associated with the Online Academy.

Returning Student Registration: If your student currently attends or has previously attended an LPOSD school, follow the Returning Student Registration process using your PowerSchool Parent Portal account.
